Ms. Hill read "The Silent Woods"

 I read this book in less than 24 hours. And I finished it during SSR and had to hide the tears streaming down my face. This is such a powerful read about the sacrifices we make for family and the lengths we will go to when what we love is in danger. WOW!

 

From the very first page, I was hooked.  I was hooked on the characters.  I was hooked on the layers of one family's generational story of hardship, triumph, loss, love, and the human condition.  Amy Tan has a gift for putting the reader in the experience of each moment through this novel.  You will be mesmerized by the rich words on each page!
